Creating Onboarding Templates

Why do you need to set up onboarding templates?

We know onboarding new staff is crucial to running a hospitality business, so we have designed our process to help you get your systems in place to get new people integrated into your way of doing things from day one.
We also know, unfortunately, that you have to employ new people on a regular basis and this can become a chore, so setting this up in a way that covers all the bases will save you time and ensure you get all the right information, every time!
You can set up a template for every position that can be re-used every time you hire a new employee - new bartender starting tomorrow? Create a bartender template, or new front-of-house people starting, create a front of house template - new chef starting....you get the picture!
Include all the important aspects - like sign your contract, order uniform, upload certificates, sign IRD forms - everything you need, for every hire will be there.
Just follow this process to set up your templates, or use one we made earlier! We have created a video using these steps to show you how it is done.

Onboarding just got easier!

  1. Go to your  “Dashboard”
  2. From the panel on the left select “Settings”
  3. From the list select “Onboarding Templates”
  4. Click “Add Onboarding Template”
  5. Fill out the document
  6. You can select which details are relevant and who the actions are assigned to
  7. Click “Save”
  8. The template will be save to “Onboarding Template List” where you can edit it further and’or add more items

We know that for many operators going through the steps of the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV) application process it is important for the process to be completed in a reasonable time-frame to enable you to complete your recruitment process. It can be frustrating if the time taken to process applications is longer than expected.

Our 90-day trial periods are undergoing a radical transformation in light of the new government. Previously, only businesses with less than 20 employees were eligible to use the trial period; today, all businesses can use the 90-day trial period.

Running a hospitality business can be hard. If you break down what needs to be done on a day to day basis to get the doors open, and keep them open, there’s a long list to make sure your operation works smoothly, makes a profit, is sustainable as a business, and continues to provide the creative and enjoyable work life most of us entered the industry for.
