About Fife Lane
At Fife Lane, we deliver refined, ingredient-driven dining that blends exceptional cuisine with craft, care, and innovation. Every plate reflects our commitment to freshness, seasonality, and uncompromising quality — from hand-selected Wagyu to house-crafted desserts. As part of our kitchen team, you’ll be immersed in a culture that values creativity, precision, and growth.
The Role
We’re on the lookout for a motivated Entry-Level Cold Larder / Pastry Chef to join our award-winning kitchen team. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop foundational skills in both the larder and pastry sections of a high-performance environment, guided by experienced chefs who lead with passion and professionalism.
You’ll support the preparation and execution of beautifully plated cold starters, fresh seasonal salads, and refined desserts — playing a key part in the presentation, flavour, and flow of each service.
As part of a close-knit team, you’ll also be expected to assist across other areas of the kitchen as needed — whether that’s helping with general prep, cleaning down at the end of service, or lending a hand on the line during busy periods. At Fife Lane, everyone works together to uphold the quality and consistency we’re known for.

Prepare and present cold dishes and desserts to Fife Lane’s signature standard.

Follow direction from senior chefs and actively seek learning opportunities.
Contribute to a positive team culture built on accountability, pride, and professionalism.
Who You Are
Enthusiastic, reliable, and hungry to learn.
A strong eye for detail, especially in presentation.
Previous kitchen experience or culinary study is an advantage, but not essential.
Calm under pressure, with a proactive and team-first attitude.
Available to work a flexible roster, including evenings and weekends.
Passionate about contributing to one of New Zealand’s top dining destinations.
